This page explains how to add a template that displays targeted unread news from the current site.
Once the news is read, it is automatically removed from the search results.

✅ Prerequisites

Before proceeding, ensure you have:

• Installed both PnP Modern Search (v4) web part and the CT365 Search Extension on the site with Compliance Tracker 365.
• Added a few news articles targeted to Mandatory terms and the Read Tracker Type.
• Added My Reads to a page to confirm that targeted content is being returned.

📂 Preparing the Template

1. In the Site Assets library, create folders:
   • PnP-Search
   • CT365 (inside PnP-Search)
2. Copy the Cards.html file into the CT365 folder.
3. Select the file, click the Info/Details panel (top right).
4. Expand More details at the bottom of the panel.
5. Copy the Path to get a direct link to the file.

⚙️ Configure the PnP Modern Search Results Web Part

1. Add the PnP Modern Search Results web part to the page containing My Reads.
2. Click Configure > SharePoint Search.
3. Navigate to the 4th page in the side panel.
4. Click Import/Export → Import settings.
5. Copy the content from Cards.json and click Apply.
6. Navigate to the 2nd page in the web part panel.
7. Paste the copied Path into Use an external template URL.
   • Ensure the field is empty before pasting.
   • An error may appear at this point — this is expected and normal.
8. Republish the page.

🎯 Result

If everything is configured correctly, you will see your targeted unread news articles from the current site displayed on the page.
