Solution Templates deploy preconfigured example libraries designed to demonstrate the core functionality of Compliance Tracker 365. These templates provide a streamlined method to deploy sample content and site configurations, enabling users to quickly evaluate features and adapt them to meet organizational requirements.
Each template targets content to everyone visiting the site using personal profiles. This configuration make the content visible, but should be tailored for your needs. Read how to configure terms and profiles to target content relevant roles or interests.
Prerequisites
Before applying a Solution Template, ensure the following components are deployed to a new SharePoint Online site:
Applying a Solution Template
To apply a Solution Template:
- Navigate to the Management page within Compliance Tracker 365.
- Select the Solution Template section.
- Choose a template and initiate deployment.
Upon deployment, the template will:
- Create a site collection term set.
- Configure personal profiles.
- Add sample files and pages to the site.
- Set the template page as the site’s home page.
SharePoint Search can take from a couple of minutes to a couple of hours (in extreme cases) to index content. The template deployment dialogue indicates how many documents are indexed. If you see a few complete, you can skip the wait. Once the others are indexed, they will appear on the page.
It is recommended to select a template that closely aligns with your intended use case. Templates can be customised post-deployment with relevant content, profiles and terms.
