Terms determine who must and who should read content in Compliance Tracker 365.

📌 How Terms Work

• If multiple terms are used:
  • The first Mandatory term is displayed in the Tracker as a match.
  • If no mandatory matches are found, the first Optional term is displayed instead.

👥 Targeting

• Mandatory terms are typically targeted to the main audience of the content.
• Optional terms can be targeted to Everyone or broader groups for secondary tracking.

📊 Reporting

• Use the Reports tab > Terms report in the Info panel to see who is associated with specific terms.

🎯 Using CT365 Profile Replacer with PnP Search

When working with PnP Search web parts, a person’s Mandatory or Optional terms can be passed into the query using the Custom Query Modifiers – CT365 Profile Replacer.

• Mandatory terms → Used to return important content for reading.
  • Query using CT365-Mandatory terms in the Custom Query modifier – CT365 Profile Replacer.
• Optional terms → Used to return any target content for reading.
  • Query using CT365 in the CT365 Profile Replacer to include all target content.

This enables search results to be dynamically tailored based on the individual’s profile terms, ensuring that targeted content is surfaced appropriately.
